INFERNO- Brown does it again!!

OMG! Its fast-paced, enthralling, virtual tour to Florence and as always informative. The plot of the story is fascinating to read and I have felt the same way, when there was any natural or man made disaster in the world. In fact I was really happy to see a world where human productivity is curbed, I encourage the idea. I wish Zobrist was real. In a country which stands second in world population, such solution is harmless. Apart from making this a thriller in his own style, Brown has also made his readers think. That's appreciable.

I thoroughly stand for the quote "The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.” by Dante. This very well applies to our life. The twists and tangles in the story add more thirst to readers.

I almost felt being in Florence, thanks to such a good narration on the ambiance. For those who did not know that a reference website existed, do check this. (translate the page to English using google translate)

This book is a never-miss for thriller lovers!

Tour de Jaipur

Jaipur was the best of all places I visited during a family tour in June 2013. The city of Jaipur is wrapped in Orangish-Pink painted buildings, hence the name 'The Pink City' to Jaipur.

There are many historic places that fall in 'Never Miss' list, yet I skipped a few places since I am immensely rejoiced on shopping. The city is famous for its authentic 'Bhandhni' Salwars, never hesitate to buy an original one. Juties, as the locals call, is a flamboyant layering of colourful fabric in shoes. I bagged one for INR250 and I love it. Shopping is affordable in the city, if you know to bargain.U can Mehendi ur hands anywhere since many women sit outside shops, malls and tour sites offering you mehendi for a nominal price.

The City Palace is a must see. The utilities used by the Kings in the palace are kept intact, without an inch moved and is well preserved by the curator.

Hawa Mahal has a scintillating architecture, a worthy stop-by.

Jal Mahal is a palace surrouned by a lake. Visitors are not allowed inside the lake or the palace, hence one can just see the palace from the roadside pavement alone. It would not take you more than a couple of minutes. We were too exhausted to see these three places in just a half day. With no energy left, we finally arrived to Amber Fort, a humongous infrastructure! I pushed the accelerator and skipped this fort as we had no time left.

Last but not the least, to have an endeavor of Rajastani food, I along with my family were taken to 'Thaal Restaurant', by my friends. The ambiance was in tune to the Rajasthani culture. I was in glee after tasting the food. The restaurant offers more than 2 servings for each item on the plate. Marvelous food. Hot and sugarrrrrrry jaelabi was THE BEST ever served in that dinner.

I totally enjoyed my time at the city of Jaipur. I encourage U too. Have a splendid time folks!!!

Dan Brown's Blockbuster - The Da Vinci Code

Stunned, astonished, enlightened and swept off. A man of keen acumen, Dan Brown is. How on earth did he   get all of this intellect? A giant secret he has interwoven, with the story of a grandpa and a granddaughter. The intricate details of Christianity enunciated in this book swept me off, but was not a great understanding for me, as I have not read the Bible. Yet, the book kept me engaged and glued. I have never enjoyed a book as This. The big picture on screen instilled me to take a ride into the pages of the book. The book provides a humongous detailing which the big picture missed. Those who loved the big picture should also enjoy the book. Believe me, its worth reading.

On the way to buy Inferno. :)

Heart throbbing for the RIGHT one!!

No, its not about what is going in ur mind, on reading this title. Its about the fast paced heartbeat I get when I am hunting. Yes, hunting for a book to read. One after the other, my fingers brush the books to touch one book that will entice me. I read books of any jargon, but the sole benchmark is that- " THE BOOK MUST ARTICULATE MY MIND, REFRESH AND ENERGIZE".

I love to search for the RIGHT BOOK, but not for more than 15 minutes. If the time elapsed pass this limit, I get struck by the tragedy of returning empty handed. Till now, I have never been so unlucky in my University library.
One hunt which I would never fade from my memory, is a long waited prey for my eyes and mind -"Wings of Fire" by Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. The rush of joy almost overflowed through my lips, making me smile from ear to ear. The book was really interesting and articulating. A review about this book would require a dedicated post though.
All I convey is, "My heart pounds hard and fast, while searching for a book of my kind in the library". What's really sad is that I have just a month to enrich with books from my lovable University Library. What ever be the books I read, Arjun Singh Library will remain one of my best reading hubs. HAPPY READING FOLKS!!

Target 3 Billion- a must read

Even after a 20 minute hunt for a book  in the library to read, i was unable to find a book that would solace me. Struck by deprivation, I decided to leave the library, but not after sighting Dr.Abdul Kalam's 'Target Three Billion'. A little hesitation made me think twice whether to take the book or not. But then something made me bag the book and urged me to give it a try. For a girl who fancies novels and mostly thriller and fiction stories, to read 'Target Three Billion' was not a run of the mill task. With little patience at hand, I started reading the book just after my college hours.

I was literally moved by the first introductory chapter ' THE ELIXIR OF RURAL EXPERIENCE FROM A NATION OF DIVERSITY'. Dr.APJ had narrated a few moments of his visit to various places of India. I was taken aback by one instance, his visit to a Himalayas-bordered-state, Arunachal Pradesh. I was well able to visualize the ambiance through Dr. APJ's narration. I was even moved to tears on reading the dreams of deterministic soldiers, their perseverance and confidence.

Though I have not passed reading a handful of chapters in the book, I feel the heat, just after reading the initial chapters. I advise, this book is a must read for all Indians. After all, I am proud to have selected one good book in my lifetime.
